The General Real Estate Authority announces the start of real estate registry work in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region

The General Authority for Real Estate has announced the commencement of real estate registration for 509 properties in seven districts of Makkah and Jeddah, starting Sunday, July 26, 2026 (corresponding to 12 Safar 1448 AH) and continuing until Thursday, October 29, 2026 (corresponding to 18 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH). The Authority aims to register properties directly from the Real Estate Registry in the Makkah region, specifically in the following areas: (parts of Taybah, Uhud, Makkah, Safa, and Taybah districts). Registration will begin in the following districts of Jeddah: (parts of Rawdah and Industrial areas). The specific districts selected for registration will be announced according to defined criteria. Further announcements regarding the remaining regions, governorates, and districts across the Kingdom will be made in the coming periods. The registration process will be conducted in accordance with specific criteria. Because it is the "Real Estate Authority," the first registration of real estate in these areas and neighborhoods will be available through the electronic real estate registry platform or through the service center, because the real estate registration requires a title deed that meets the system's requirements to complete the registration process. The Authority called on property owners in exclusive areas and neighborhoods to register their properties using the title deed. The necessary requirements for initiating registration were outlined, including the requirement to register properties within the specified timeframe. Failure to register within this timeframe will subject owners to financial penalties. The Authority also provided information on the registration process through its official platforms or by contacting the customer service center at 199002. Starting from the specified registration date, a "property number" will be issued for each registered property unit. The registration deed includes ownership data, its description, status, and associated rights and obligations, along with accurate geospatial information. This system contributes to artificial intelligence and the sustainability of the real estate sector. The Real Estate Registration System aims to enhance real estate reliability and improve the sector's performance.
